Sarto's passion for shoes started early. Born near Venice Italy, Franco Sarto got his start as a cobbler hand stitching shoes in a factory at age 14. At age 20, Sarto was sure that shoes and fashion were his true passion and moved to the centre of shoe design in Italy, the city of Stra. In Stra, Sarto studied and mastered the art of design and craftsmanship before striking out on his own.
