Dolce and Gabbana was established in 1985, by design duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana when they were invited to take part in a fashion show to unveil new design talents. The partners in love and fashion melded their love of bohemian, baroque and the eclectic to introduce a fashion philosophy inspired by Italy's golden age of film.
Today, a red carpet event never ceases to showcase various Dolce and Gabbana creations. They are favorites of starlets such as Isabella Rossellini, Nicole Kidman and Madonna. D and G created the costumes for Madonna's 1993 Girlie Show concert.
